Planting Instructions:
Purple Dragon likes a position of full sun and remember to water often. Keep in mind when planting that Purple Dragon is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will tend to survive through freezing conditions. Use USDA Hardiness Zone 3 - 11 as your guideline for the appropriate climate for this plant. Purple Dragon requires a loamy and sandy soil with a ph of 6.0 - 6.5 - it grows best in weakly acidic soil. You should look at sowing Purple Dragon about 14 days before your last frost date
Suggestions:
Sow seeds outdoors 3-4 weeks before last spring frost or as soon as soil can be worked. Tamp soil firmly; keep bed moist until emergence. Germination is slow and uneven, so be patient. Using spun polyester row covers may improve germination rates.
